MAZDA'S B-K MOTORSPORTS HEADLINES ROAD AMERICA PROMOTIONAL STOP
Photo by John Thawley The American Le Mans Series made its first promotional stop of the week in Milwaukee, heading into Saturday's Generac 500 at Road America. Drivers Ben Devlin and Jamie Bach of Mazda's B-K Motorsports and Luis Diaz of Lowe's Fernandez Racing delighted fans at the Lowe's Home Improvement Store in suburban Brown Deer Tuesday afternoon with an autograph session at the Lowe's Fan Experience and a Klein Tools pit stop demonstration by B-K Motorsports.
The afternoon had something for everyone. The Lowe's Fan Experience featured the Lowe's Fernandez show car, while adjacent to the car and the autograph session, young fans could build replicas of the No. 15 race car. Xbox 360 showcased two of its state-of the-art high definition surround sound simulators with its popular Forza2 Motorsports game. Radio station 102.9 "The Hog" provided entertainment and an added promotion while fans enjoyed a catered cookout courtesy of Lowe's.
The B-K Motorsports gang from nearby Saukville, WI ran through three pit stop demonstrations, cutting time from every stop.
"Road America is one of the greatest places we run," said Bach, "and the pit stop is such an important aspect of doing well here."
The four-hour endurance Generac 500 begins at 4 p.m. CDT Saturday and will air Sunday on NBC from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
